Conclusion
In conclusion, whether as Polytechnic University or NYU Tandon, the school has always been a bastion of knowledge and innovation across scientific fields. Sustainability has always been a topic of exploration, but has truly come to the forefront in the 21st century. As the school's goals have evolved, it has continued to build on its strengths, reputation, and history. There has always been such a breadth of scientific development taking place at Tandon/Poly that when goals evolve, such as an urgent need for sustainability taking center stage, the university can easily leverage its already existing knowledge, resources, and past work. This is why the university will continue to be at the forefront of the most important issues, such as sustainability. Through research, the faculty and students have expanded the foundational knowledge of the university, shining a light on complex fields such as polymer science. University clubs have harnessed such knowledge and put it to the test through creative and envelope-pushing projects for the world to see, such as electric cars or versatile farming technology. Finally, incubators align and empower external resources and participants, making the school a hub for the kind of global innovation that has done everything from optimizing energy production to making consumer goods that are good for the environment. Through these activities, the school and community have emerged as clear leaders in the quest for a sustainable future, and have extended their reach and impact far beyond the campus.
