The first tracable version of Polytechnic Institution's website in April 1997 explains simplicity. Although we already lost the access to the original images on the website, the fundamental structure of the webpage remains discernible. Each element is neatly arranged within tables, presenting a simple and straightforward layout devoid of embellishments. The content consists solely of text, with links to other pages. In this rudimentary form of website, there are no graphical elements, animations, interactive features or even color to be found. The website is a perfect example of Web 1.0(Duschenko, 2018), which is characterized by static content and a primary focus on information dissemination.

By the end of 1997, the website underwent its next evolutionary leap. A comprehensive restructuring of the website introduced the integration of more images and a denser layout. While the core elements remained largely unchanged, the addition of images was executed and arranged in a refined and aesthetically pleasing manner. This strategic enhancement not only enriched the visual appeal of the website but also contributed to a more engaging user experience as user could navigate through the site by clicking on captivating images rather than plain text links.

In 2004, a significant milestone was reached with Polytechnic Institution celebrating its 150th Anniversary, marking a pivotal moment for the website. This occasion introduced a substantial and unprecedented update, transforming the site into a more visually captivating and interactive platform.

The updated website featured with an attractive image positioned prominently in the middle of the page. Surrounded by this image on the left was a dynamic menu, while the right side showcased school news and highlights.

Moreover, this version also introduced a huge amount of interactive elements, enhancing user engagement. For instance, when you hover the mouse over the menu, it would trigger a grey circle at the image's center, revealing a more detailed navigation menu. This innovative feature empowered visitors with greater control over their browsing experience with great aesthetics.

This iteration of the website marked a significant leap forward, and incorporated an incredibly amount of interactions and visual enhancements that brought the site to life, making it more dynamic and vivid than ever before.
